Forge 8 pieces of cable into a block of steel.

Fold block around 5 times and then
forge to shape the blade.

Grind off scale and put clay on
for heat-treating.

Temper the blade then hand polish with ten progessively finer grades of stone.

Handle and fittings are all made by hand
